Unity Across Racial Divides

Unidad means unity. The mural represents unity across racial divides within the community. Created as part of the Paint for Peace initiative on a wall that consistently displayed gang rivalry and was being defaced nightly, the mural has remained free of graffiti since its installation.

Flowers for Amde
Honoring Father Amde Hamilton of The Watts Prophets

Flowers for Amde was created to give Father Amde Hamilton his flowers while he can still smell them. The mural honors the last living member of The Watts Prophets, a poetry collective born from the Civil Rights Movement, in Watts where the group began.
